Kurt and Stephanie Plagenhoef are the founders and leaders of BalkanREACH. They have been serving in Albania and the Balkans since 1995 where they have planted churches, established a national church movement, Bible school and missions department, and served thousands of refugees and the poor through compassion ministries. The heart of their call is to reach those who have not heard with the gospel of Jesus Christ. They believe that through prayer and Spirit-empowered, Spirit-led ministries, the Balkans can be transformed for the glory of God.

Kurt and Stephanie earned undergraduate degrees from Central Bible College and graduate degrees from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri.

They have three children.
